PRECLEANER ASSY L&T

The Pre‑Cleaner Assembly for L&T is a robust air intake accessory engineered for use in heavy machinery (e.g. excavators, loaders, backhoes, generators) built or serviced by L&T. It’s mounted upstream of the main air filter and uses inertial / cyclonic separation to remove large particulates (dust, sand, crop residue, grit) from intake air. This helps reduce the load on the main filter, minimize engine wear, and extend service intervals — especially in harsh, dusty environments typical of construction sites, mining, or heavy industrial use.

Key Features & Construction

• Cyclonic / Centrifugal Separation: Incoming air is induced to spin, causing heavier particles to be flung outwards into a dust bowl or collector, while cleaned air passes into the main filter.

• Heavy-Duty Housing & Cap: Typically made of steel or thick gauge metal, sometimes with a removable cap for inspection and maintenance.

• Dust Collection Chamber / Bowl: A lower reservoir to collect the separated debris; removable or with a drain for periodic cleaning.

• Sealed Inlet / Outlet Interfaces: Flanged or duct-mounted connections with gaskets to prevent air leakage.

• Mounting Brackets / Fixtures: Designed to bolt or clamp onto L&T machine intake ducting or frame.

• Corrosion / Impact Protection: Coated or painted to resist rust, chipping, and vibration in field conditions.

• Maintenance Access: The cap or bowl is serviceable to allow cleaning and inspection without disassembling the entire unit.
