PRECLEANER ASSY EICHER/SONALIKA STEEL CAP

The Pre‑Cleaner Assembly (Steel Cap Type) is an auxiliary air intake component designed for use in Eicher and Sonalika tractors/engines. It is mounted upstream of the main air filter and is responsible for removing larger dust particles, sand, and debris from the incoming airflow, thereby protecting and extending the life of the primary air filter and engine components.

Features & Design

• Steel Cap Construction: The top cap or cover is made of steel, providing durability, resistance to impact, and protection against harsh operating environments.

• Centrifugal / Cyclonic Separation Mechanism: Air entering the unit rotates (or is forced to swirl), causing heavier particles to be thrown outward and deposited in the dust collection chamber while cleaner air passes on.

• Inlet & Outlet Interfaces: Flanged or ducted inlets/outlets matching the tractor’s air intake piping. Sealing gaskets or rubbers are employed to prevent leaks.

• Dust Collection Chamber & Drain: Segregated chamber or bowl (often removable) to collect coarser dust particles, with a drain or manual emptying provision.

• Mounting Brackets & Fasteners: Integrated mounting flanges / brackets for attaching securely to the vehicle body, intake duct, or air filter housing.

• Corrosion Protection: Steel parts are typically painted, coated, or treated (powder coating, galvanizing) to resist rust under field conditions.

• Maintainability: The steel cap may be removable for inspection, cleaning, and maintenance. The inside surfaces are accessible for clearing accumulated dust.
